My 7 month old LOVES being outdoors. I try to give her about 10 minutes of direct sunlight each day during off hours for some natural Vitamin D production but she could stay outside for hours and be a happy girl. During those times I want to make sure that I’m protecting her from extended sun exposure and using a baby safe sunscreen.
babyganics mineral-based sunscreens provide broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection and come in SPF 30 or SPF 50+. They are water resistant and perfect for pool days and active kids. The non-allergenic formula is tear free so if a little one rubs their eyes by accident or puts their hands in their mouth then there are no worries.
babyganics sunscreen products are free of chemicals like PABA, phthalates, parabens, fragrances, nano-particles and include 100% natural NeoNourish® Seed Oil Blend which includes tomato, sunflower, cranberry, black cumin and red raspberry to help nurture & support baby’s skin. They are pediatrician & dermatologist recommended and never tested on animals.
I was sent a mineral-based sunscreen SPF 50+ and a pure mineral sunscreen stick SPF 50+ for review. Both the lotion and the stick can be worn for 80 minutes of water or sweat exposure before reapplication is needed. The difference is really in how you prefer to apply it. I found using the lotion was easiest for exposed arms and legs and the stick was great for the face. Plus with the convenience size of the stick it is really easy to just throw in my purse or the diaper bag to make sure that I always have something to protect her skin since we are busily out and about this summer. Both versions of the sunscreen went on smooth, rubbed in easily, and didn’t leave a sticky residue or anything.
Keeping in line with my #PureBodyChallenge these products scored great on the Skin Deep Database. The pure mineral sunscreen stick received a score of 1 and the mineral based sunscreen lotion scored a 2. I’m ditching any personal care products with a score of 3 or higher so I feel confident based on these ratings and the ingredients that babyganics sunscreen is a safe choice for my sweet babe and her precious skin!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
