Shea Butter is an extremely versatile natural product. When used in its raw, unrefined state it has loads of natural vitamins and minerals. Shea butter is extremely moisturizing and deeply hydrating and you will instantly feel as though your skin is softer and smoother.
Shea butter comes from the nut of the African Shea tree. It melts at body temperature so even though it is in solid form it will quickly absorb in to your skin. It is amazing at healing skin conditions like rashes and minor wounds like scrapes and cuts.

I had the opportunity to try out Raw Shea Butter from Cleopatra’s Choice. It comes packaged in a reusable tub which is great for storage and easier to scoop out the shea butter than plastic bags I’ve received other shea butter brands in.
I am new to the world of DIY beauty products but it is fun, saves money, and lets me control the ingredients. We used this shea butter to make a “beard balm” for my husband. When he had his beard he really loved it. The beeswax in the recipe helped control the hair but the shea butter is what really helped to make it feel softer. He has since shaved the beard but we use the balm as a moisturizing hard lotion now.
Cleopatra’s Choice is very affordable compared to other shea butters and seems to be very high quality as well. A little bit goes a long way so we have a lot left in this 1 pound tub but I would purchase this brand in the future.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. This post contains affiliate links.
