Now that Spring has finally sprung I’ve been looking for an easy way to add in some color to transition with the change of the season. Since the main rooms in our house are pretty neutral in color with lots of white, off-white and grey, it is easy to add in just about any accent color for holiday and seasonal home decor. One of my favorite ways to add a pop of color is with flowers.
For many years I found faux plants and flowers to be, well to be completely honest, horribly tacky. They all just stuck out like a sore thumb to me whenever I entered a room with them. But, most faux greenery and flowers have really become more life-like in their design and production recently. I love how a quality faux plant can transform a shelf or mantle to help you achieve the look you are wanting without the upkeep or replacement of live plants and flowers.
Silk Plants Direct has a huge, and I do me HUGE, selection of high quality silk plants available. They have all of your faux flower needs covered from colorful floral arrangements to green plants and topiaries. The gorgeous lavender plants they sent me for my fireplace mantle came already potted in these beautifully chippy planters that were perfect for our modern farmhouse decor. The plants are lovely and add the perfect pop of color to our neutral palate and minimalist decor on the mantle.
